Billy White Jr.

A traditional artist by training, Billy White Jr. transitioned to digital art and design early on, diving in with copies of Photoshop 1.0 and Freehand 1.0. Through the desktop revolution and the rise of digital technologies, he has stayed on the cutting edge of technique and technology, using both digital and traditional techniques and training to bring fresh, cutting edge work to life.

A self-admitted Photoshop junky, he has also mastered the Adobe Creative Suite, and is comfortable in Illustrator, InDesign, and Acrobat, and recently has been learning Flash, Dreamweaver, and Fireworks, along with HTML, CSS, and Javascript/jQuery.

Professionally, he has worked in pre-press, design, and marketing, using his skill and knowledge to provide the best quality work to his clients, on time, and on budget, for a wide selection of companies, including foodservice marketing, ad agencies, art publishing, and printing. He is comfortable working within a team, and has excellent communication skills.

Billy started on a freelance basis working with bands in the San Francisco bay area in the 1980's, producing artwork for albums and merchandising. In the late 1990's, he started a studio called FusedArts, to collaborate on freelance projects in the music industry with partners Robert John, and later Jeff Boerio, blending photography and art to create unique art and design for a large number of clients. Creating artwork that is associated with music is a true passion of his, and has enjoyed the eperiences and friendships that accompanied the work.

He has continued to work with bands and labels big and small, from the likes of Geffen Records, to self-published efforts. His work through FusedArts has led to much success, and a solid reputation for quality and professionalism.

He is continuing his education and expanding his skill set with web technologies, and the new field of ebook publishing.
